    The Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed, today, Sunday (August 18, 2024), the summoning of the Chargé d'Affairs of the United Kingdom Embassy in Baghdad, Ruth Coverdale.
    The ministry said in a statement received by "Baghdad Today" that it "summoned the Chargé d'Affairs of the United Kingdom Embassy in Baghdad, Ruth Coverdale, and handed her a memorandum of protest over the statements of the Kingdom's Ambassador to the Republic of Iraq, Stephen Hitchen, whose content touched on Iraqi security and political affairs."
