Member of the Al-Fatah Alliance, Salam Hussein, called on the Iraqi government to respond to the statements of the US Department of Defense, which confirmed that its forces would not withdraw from the country, while indicating that Washington has no intention of leaving Iraq.[/size]
[size=45]Hussein said in a statement, "All the statements that came out of the United States of America previously and until this moment indicate that there is procrastination in withdrawing its forces from the country," noting that "Washington is manipulating the statements in order not to establish a position towards it."[/size]
[size=45]He added, "America wants to gain time in order to pressure Iraq to give up its decision to withdraw American forces," noting that "the political forces and the government are required to clarify the truth about the Pentagon's recent statements."[/size]
[size=45]He explained that "Washington has no intention of leaving Iraq, and its insistence on staying confirms the existence of premeditated goals and intentions."[/size]
[size=45]Washington confirmed in a statement yesterday that it is not prepared to announce any specific steps to withdraw US forces from Iraq. End 25 min[/size]
