    Al-Maalouma / Baghdad .. 
    The head of the parliamentary Agriculture, Water and Marshlands Committee, Faleh Al-Khazaali, stressed today, Wednesday, the importance of legislating the law on leasing agricultural lands to agricultural engineers and veterinarians. 
    Al-Khazaali told / Al-Maalouma / agency, "The Council of Representatives worked on legislating the Agricultural Engineers Law No. 24 of 2013, which would grant agricultural lands to agricultural engineers, graduates of animal wealth institutes, veterinarians, and agricultural preparatory schools." 
    He added that "the law allows the establishment of agricultural projects and after 10 years ownership without compensation, provided that an economic feasibility study is implemented annually and what is planned, in addition to granting them incentive loans." He pointed 
    out that "the law obligated the Ministry of Water Resources to deliver water, in addition to allocating lands in all governorates for full-time agricultural workers, and there is cooperation from the governorates, as well as support from the Ministry of Agriculture with the outputs of the Colleges of Agriculture from full-time agricultural workers and their inclusion in the retirement and special security law." 
    Al-Khazaali stressed the need for the concerned authorities to pay attention to agricultural engineers for the services they provide, and we are in dire need of support for the agricultural sector. Iraq has been able to achieve self-sufficiency for the second season.   
    He stressed that the Agriculture Committee is working hard to amend Law 35 of 1983 and vote on it, which will support the agriculture and livestock sector. End 25h
