    Information / Baghdad..
On Tuesday, the leader of the Fatah Alliance, Ali Al-Fatlawi, warned against equipping the Peshmerga forces with artillery and heavy weapons.

Al-Fatlawi said in a statement to Al-Maalouma Agency, "The issue of equipping the Peshmerga with artillery and heavy weapons without referring to the Ministry of Defense and the central government has many risks to the security situation," noting that "arming the Peshmerga is a step towards the military separation of the region and weakening Baghdad's authority."
He added, "The danger of developing the Peshmerga's armament poses a great danger, especially since the region still harbors many terrorists and outlaws."
He added, "There are concerns on the security level throughout the country in the event of any friction between the Peshmerga and neighboring provinces such as Kirkuk, Mosul and Diyala," calling for "parliamentary and governmental action to verify the truth of what has been rumored about it."
Security expert Sabah Al-Akeili confirmed to Al-Maalouma yesterday, Monday, that the Peshmerga’s possession of heavy artillery will open the door to disputes and confrontations between Sunnis and Kurds, especially in Kirkuk and Nineveh, especially since the Kurds have ambitions to expand in Kirkuk and Nineveh, and these ambitions are not hidden but declared.
