Ministerial committee to study {sulfur emissions}

Yesterday, Saturday, Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani directed the formation of a committee to study the state of pollution and the recurring emission of the sulfur smell prevalent in Baghdad and the neighboring governorates, stressing that the committee submit its report on the subject within two days.
A statement from his office, received by "Al-Sabah", stated that "the Prime Minister directed the formation of a specialized committee headed by the advisor to the Ministry of Environment, and the membership of the advisor to the Ministry of Oil, representatives from the Ministry of Electricity, the technical agent of the Baghdad Municipality, and the Director General of the Department of Environmental Protection and Improvement in the Central Region, to study the state of pollution and the recurrence of the emission of the sulfur smell prevalent in Baghdad and neighboring governorates, and to state its causes and address it."
Al-Sudani stressed, according to the statement, the "necessity of finding radical solutions to the problem, and studying the matter from all sides, with the committee to submit its report on the subject within two days."
