    Economy News - Baghdad
The Ministry of Water Resources announced today, Monday, that it has taken control of the oil slick in the Tigris River, which was recently brought in by torrents coming from the valleys near the Baiji refinery, Salah al-Din Governorate.
The ministry stated in a statement received by "Al-Eqtisad News" that "the mentioned spot is in the process of disappearing", noting that "this came through the mobilization of its staff working there and through the General Authority for the Operation of Irrigation and Drainage Projects, to remove the spot and limit its spread in Tikrit district towards Samarra, and to re-operate the liquefaction stations operating in Baiji, Tikrit and Al-Alam district."
