    Information/Report…
Recently, there has been increasing talk about a possible ministerial reshuffle in the government of Mohammed Shia al-Sudani. This reshuffle comes as part of the Prime Minister’s commitment to evaluate the performance of ministers based on a government program that the government approved more than a year ago.
According to Al-Sudani's statements, there was an initial period of six months to review the performance of ministers and assess their commitment to the tasks assigned to them, with the possibility of amending any minister who does not achieve the required goals.
Regarding this matter, MP Rafiq Al-Salihi says that there are real and noticeable failures in some ministries and their failure to complete the projects and files under their charge, indicating that “the government program must be implemented in all its steps and the Prime Minister is the one concerned with the ministry and the amendments in it.”
Al-Salihi said in a statement to Al-Maalouma Agency, "The Ministry of Defense has failed in its work throughout the past period, and the government must work on it accurately and with a correct mechanism."

The expected ministerial reshuffle aims to enhance efficiency in a number of key sectors such as health, education and public services, as the Iraqi government has faced ongoing challenges in these areas.
In this context, political researcher Mahdi Khazal says that the ministerial change is part of the government’s program that the government has placed on its list of priorities and is serious about implementing it, indicating that “what was preventing this matter was the vacancy of the position of Parliament Speaker.”
He told Al-Maalouma that "the change will include four to six government ministers," stressing that "there are no real leaks about the names of the governments that will be included in the ministerial change."
He pointed out that "the amendment will include sovereign ministries and may include security ministries," adding that "there are political imbalances that may occur and topple governors in a number of governorates."
Al-Sudani's government was formed at the end of October 2022 with the support of the State Administration Alliance, as Al-Sudani committed himself to the principle of ministerial evaluation that he included in his government program, which requires evaluating the performance of ministers within six months of the government's term. End/25
