    The Director General of the Iraqi Ports Company, Farhan Al-Fartousi, confirmed on Thursday that 3 large ships have been docked at the five berths at the Faw Port that were received today. While specifying the rest of the projects in the port and the date of their completion, he indicated that the road project linking the port entrance and the international highway will be completed next May, indicating that it represents section No. (1) in the development road project.
    Al-Fartousi said in a televised interview, followed by "Al-Eqtisad News", that "the Faw Port project consists of 5 projects with their infrastructure, and the symbolic project in it is the five docks that were delivered today under the auspices of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani."

    He added, "Today, 3 large ships were docked on these docks to prove to the world Iraq's seriousness in completing the Faw Port project."

    He explained, "The five projects in Faw Port complement each other, and are represented by the five docks project, which will be followed by the container yard project, then the main road, fourthly the submerged tunnel, and fifthly the navigation channel, and all of them will be completed by the end of 2025."

    He explained, "One of the projects is the road project linking the entrance to Faw Port to the international highway, extending from the entrance to the port, passing under the Khor Al-Zubair Canal through the submerged tunnel to Highway No. 1 in the city of Safwan and via two bridges, and it has reached a completion rate of 92% and will be completed next May, and the completion rate of its bridges has reached 98% and the entire project will be completed next May."

    He pointed out that "this road will represent the first section in the development road project and will be 63 km long."
