The head of the Iraqi and Arab Contractors Union, Ali Fakher Al-Sanafi, stressed the necessity of expanding the contribution of local contracting companies within the Iraqi labor market.
He said: Iraq is waiting for a large volume of work, and work has begun to grow in more than one economic sector in a noticeable way, and the reliance on the Iraqi private sector supports and achieves major gains for the national economy.
He added that the Iraqi contractor is able to take on any responsibility assigned to him, as he has developed his capabilities and now possesses advanced technology that facilitates executive tasks and saves time and effort.
He stressed the need for integration between the public and private sectors and for a supportive environment to be created to implement the work within the times specified in the award decision and according to the agreed specifications.
