Guaranteeing the rights of workers in the private education sector

The Parliamentary Higher Education Committee included a paragraph guaranteeing the rights of workers in the private university education sector and increasing collection funds in the private education law.
Committee member Dr. Yassin Al-Aithawi told Al-Sabah that “the committee included in the private education law a paragraph (providing) for the owner of the property or the investor of the colleges, after the owner was unknown and visible to the eye as a legal entity during the previous stage, in addition to the fact that this issue will include the board of trustees in all colleges to support the scientific integrity of those colleges.” Al-Aithawi added that “the committee confirmed within the law guaranteeing the rights of workers in the private university education sector, and increasing the collection funds to the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research from (3 to 4) percent to be spent on improving the infrastructure in government universities in all governorates.”
