"No voice is louder than the voice of the homeland," and this moment has come. In the midst of the threats of the usurping Zionist entity, voices have risen, governmental, parliamentary, political, and popular, strongly rejecting any hints of targeting any inch of the homeland. After the government's internal and external moves, it was the turn of the people's representative, the parliament, which decided to discuss these threats tomorrow, Monday, according to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dr. Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani, to "Al-Sabah."
Al-Mashhadani stressed support for the government's orientations regarding war, peace and the threats facing the country. He said: "The House of Representatives has set tomorrow, Monday, as the date for holding a session to discuss the Zionist threats," expecting that "part of the session will be public and the other will be secret." He added that "the House of Representatives, which represents the people, does not accept any attack on Iraq's sovereignty in any way, and we will take all measures and steps within the legal and diplomatic paths and support the government, especially in this direction," noting that "the parliament will use all possibilities to open dialogues and communication channels with influential countries to spare Iraq any attack or infringement on its security." This is in Baghdad, while in Cairo, the Council of the League of Arab States is scheduled to hold an emergency meeting today, Sunday, at the level of permanent delegates, based on Iraq’s request, to discuss the Zionist threats. Assistant Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ambassador Hossam Zaki, told Al-Sabah: “The General Secretariat of the League of Arab States received an official request from Iraq to hold an emergency meeting of the Council of the League of Arab States at the level of permanent delegates, and the threats of the Zionist entity will be discussed.”
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs had sent official letters to the Security Council, the Secretary-General of the United Nations, the Arab League, and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, in response to the Zionist entity’s threats to attack Iraq.
