    Mourned the death of Al-Azhar in Egypt, on Saturday evening, a professor Taha Jabir al-Alwani, a prominent Islamic scholars of jurisprudence, and the President of the Islamic group "Cordoba," in the United States.

    According to Al-Azhar, said in a statement today that "Taha Jabir al-Alwani, a prominent Iraqi scientists, a member of numerous jurisprudential academies around the world, the President of the University of Cordoba, passed away at the age (81 years old)."

    The statement said, "The Al-Azhar mourns one of his sons who graduated from his alma mater, and presented many scientific and advocacy achievements; and advancing to the Muslim world sincere condolences and sympathy, praying to Moly- Sobhanh- to grant the deceased rest in peace and forgiveness, and that inspires his family and his family patience and solace." 

    The Alwani (born in 1935 in Iraq), chairman of the "council of jurisprudence" in America since 1988, and head of the "Islamic and Social Sciences, University" (SISS) Bherndn, in the state of Virginia, USA, and holds a doctorate in jurisprudence from the Faculty of Law, and law at the University "Al-Azhar", in Cairo in 1973.

    And the work of al-Alwani, a professor of jurisprudence at the University of "Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University" in Riyadh, in Saudi Arabia, since 1975 until 1985.

    And participated in 1981 in the establishment of "International Institute of Islamic Thought" in the United States, also was a member of the Constituent Assembly for "the Muslim World League," in Mecca, and member of the "International Islamic Fiqh Academy," in Jeddah.

    Of the most important works, "al-Alwani," "diligence and tradition in Islam," and "Literature difference in Islam" and "Islamic Fiqh Origins: curriculum research and knowledge," and "Islamization of knowledge between yesterday and today," and "intellectual crisis and curriculum change."
