Saudi Arabia: 60% of the tenants of the population

Revealed the Housing Ministry in Saudi Arabia, Saturday, that 60% of the Kingdom's population tenants, indicating that the weak demand growth helped to escalating inflation and rising housing rents.

The newspaper quoted general supervisor of the program «Rent» Advisor to the Minister of Housing Program Mohammed Bata saying, "The organization of the rental sector in the Kingdom and its role in activating the partnership with the private sector," noting that "the real estate market in the UK is the second sector in terms of size after the oil sector , but supply growth falls short of demand, which helped in escalating inflation and rising housing rents growth. "
He said Bata, that "a balanced regulatory environment for public property and rental residential sector in particular, and solving problems helps to draw an accurate picture of the map of the market, to the benefit of tenants and landlords and real estate companies and investors in general."
The General Authority for census 2016 data revealed that the total housing in Saudi Arabia occupied the families of around 3.4 million homes.
Commission data showed that about 63% of the total Saudi-owned homes, the equivalent of 2.2 million homes in different regions of Saudi Arabia.
