Saudi Arabia's Al-Hayat newspaper reported on Wednesday that political forces have launched a series of intensive contacts over the past few days to begin "serious and different" negotiations to form the next government.
"The political forces have embarked on a series of intensive contacts over the last few days to start serious and different negotiations this time to form a new government in the light of the developments caused by the popular demonstrations in the south of the country," the newspaper quoted political sources as saying.
The sources added that "the political forces became, for the first time, under the pressure of the masses in the process of forming a government, while referring the scenarios that the former Iraqi parties to clone in the formation of the new government, on the shelves for fear of rising public anger.
