Al-Ardawi: Washington is taking Iraq as a suitable ground to target Iran

The security expert, Abbas al-Ardawi, said Friday that America moved from Syria to Iraq to take the appropriate ground to target the Islamic Republic, noting that the US entry into Iraq is a clear violation of Iraqi sovereignty.
"The American movement and the move to the east is a flagrant violation of Iraq's sovereignty, because it is not an American mandate until the foreign forces coming from Syria are roaming around," al-Aredawi said in a statement.
"There is complacency and cooperation by the Barzani family, which is the ruler of the region, and this indicates the weakness of the center's control over the region, and therefore it is a threat to Iraqi security."
He pointed out that "the planning was in advance for the transfer of US troops from Syria to Iraq, through the establishment of the base of the Romana in the desert between Anbar, Salahuddin and Nineveh."
"The American move from Syria to Iraq is aimed at creating a suitable ground for war against the Islamic Republic, especially as some US sanctions against Iran will come into force," he said. End 25 n
