Masum calls to protect the foundations of the democratic process

He called on the President of the Republic, Dr. Fuad Masum, to protect the foundations of democracy and institutions of the electoral process and to seek development through constitutional means, stressing the importance of providing all the capabilities that help writers and authors and artists in promoting the vital role.

He urged the international community to step up support for Iraq in the political and community reconciliation, reconstruction and construction plans as well as providing the necessary assistance to the displaced and to protect them.

In a separate statement, the president stressed « the importance of providing all the capabilities that help writers and authors and artists in promoting their vital role in the making of culture and the development of spiritual and cultural perspectives of the people».
