US defense minister says Iraq's inability to stop "potential" nuclear strikes

WASHINGTON, April 23 (UPI) - US Secretary of Homeland Security John Kelly said his country does not have defense systems capable of protecting it entirely from a possible nuclear strike by Russia.
"Clearly, in the world there are countries with large quantities," Kelly said in an interview with CNN in response to a question about whether the United States could protect its mainland from possible nuclear strikes by North Korea or another country. Of nuclear weapons, and they are capable of overcoming any defenses we can deploy, for example, one of those countries is Russia. "
"I have information about this, but it's confidential," Kelly said.
"The moment North Korea has a missile capable of reaching the United States and carrying a nuclear warhead, this country will be seriously endangered," he said.
In response to a question as to when such a formula would occur, Kelly said that "US President Donald Trump will work to resolve this issue seriously before his second term," without explaining how. Finished
