Supreme Judicial Council announced the arrest of gangs extorting citizens to obtain sums of money in exchange for giving them cars registration plates or appointment in government departments, while pointing out that its activity is increasing in the Shaab district, north of Baghdad.

Jassim also revealed the arrest of gangs circumvent citizens under the pretext of their appointment, as lawsuits related to the sale of car registration plates, as the accused by taking money from citizens and then fleeing.
She drew misdemeanor judge to the importance of recognizing the citizen to obtain their rights through law and the competent courts, and that recourse to the norms may pose a risk to society, stressing that slums located areas of the people and its edges abound where the crimes both in terms of misdemeanors or felonies and some serious crimes.
