    Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi and his accompanying delegation will visit Iran on Tuesday from Saudi Arabia, which he visited on a regional tour including Kuwait.
    The Iranian Assistant Foreign Minister, Hussein Gabri Ansari, said in a press statement about Abadi's visit to Tehran: "This visit is not planned in advance and is in accordance with the requirements of the current stage and is part of the tour of Abadi in a number of countries in the region. Developments in the region and Iraq ".
    He added that Iraq is on the verge of a turning point in its fight against terrorism and extremism after the recent victories of the Iraqi army and the popular crowd in Mosul and other areas where the countdown to the elimination of terrorism and extremism in this country began.

    In a related context, the Ambassador of Iran in Baghdad, Erg Masjidi, that the visit of Prime Minister Haider Abadi to Iran will enter the Iraqi-Iranian relations, especially in the economic field a new stage.
    Commenting on the visit to Iran on Tuesday, Ahmadinejad told IRNA on Monday: "Iran will stand firmly with the government and the people of Iraq in confronting security, political and economic challenges."
    He pointed out that "Abadi's visit to Iran comes within the framework of the ongoing meetings of the officials of both countries," pointing out that "Abadi will meet with senior Iranian officials during the visit and will discuss with them bilateral relations and regional issues of common interest."
    He pointed out that "Iraq plays an important and positive role in dealing with regional crises and it is one of the countries that are influential in the fight against terrorism."
    "The sacrifices made by the Iraqi people, the armed forces and popular mobilization forces have played an important role in isolating terrorists in the region and the world at large," he said.
    Ambassador Masjedi stressed that "Iran seeks to promote dialogue, understanding and cooperation in the region in order to solve the problems experienced by this region."
