"While stressing" his support for the mission of the European Women's Initiative in support of Iraqi women, "he called for focusing efforts on empowering women in rural and remote areas to enjoy With a decent life. For his part, the delegation, which included the Executive Director of the Euro-Mediterranean Women's Initiative, Boryana Johnson, as well as Dr. Ibtisam Aziz, Director General of the Women's Empowerment Department of the Council of Ministers, National Team Coordinator, KRG Representative Susan Aref and other members, expressed gratitude for the infallible attention and guidance. In this vital field, reviewing projects to support and empower Iraqi women within the framework of the National Plan for Security Council Resolution 1325 (Women, Security and Peace). "Iraq is the first country in the Middle East and North Africa to adopt a national plan that calls for women to be involved in peacemaking and decision-making during and after armed conflict, and to protect them from all forms of violence," he said.
