    The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs included 900 thousand retired workers in the private sector in social security, while mechanisms were put in place for the implementation of the law on the unification of social insurance recently approved by the Council of Ministers.
    Undersecretary Abdul Karim Abdullah said in a special statement to Al-Sabah: "His ministry has taken the necessary measures to standardize the salaries of workers in the private sector secured by the salaries of workers in the government sector within the general pension fund.
    He pointed out that the Council of Ministers recently voted on the draft Social Insurance Law, which guarantees all workers in the private sector a pension equivalent to the salaries of the state's pension employees, and includes the transfer of pension to the back in the event of the death of the retired worker, in addition to maternity leave for women working in the private sector, Workers in the public sector.
    He added that the number of secured workers is still modest compared with the number of projects in the private sector, pointing out at the same time that the ministry is keen to improve the level of income of workers.
    And to Kirkuk, workers in the province of Kirkuk, expressed satisfaction with the approval of the law, which will ensure equal privileges with counterparts in the public sector.
