    Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari met the US State Department Advisor, Brett McGurk, and the US Ambassador in Iraq, Robert Stephen Beecroft.


    A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs received by IraqiNews.com cited “During the meeting, the two sides discussed the Iraqi – U.S. relations and followed-up on Joint Coordination committees’ activities to implement the strategic framework agreement.”

    “The two sides also touched upon the international and regional developments on the Syrian crisis, disarmament of chemical weapons process in it, and recent U.S. – Russian agreement on addressing the Syrian crisis,” the statement added.

    “The talks tackled Iraq’s regional relations and ways of joint cooperation in the fight against terrorism,” the statement concluded.
