    The Ministry of Justice announced yesterday, the execution of the death of 42 convicted of terrorist crimes in the prison of Nasiriyah Central (Pisces), and confirmed that those sentences were implemented after the ratification by the Presidency of the Republic. 
    "The Ministry of Justice executed on Sunday death sentence for 42 convicted of terrorist crimes in the central prison of Nasiriyah," Justice Minister Haider al-Zamili told a news conference held in Nasiriyah Central Prison. 
    "The implementation of the sentences came after the ratification of the decree by the Presidency of the Republic," adding that "the execution was carried out in the presence of the governor of Dhi Qar and a number of local officials and families of the victims of the recent bombings in Nasiriyah." The Minister of Justice Haider Zamili announced, on 21 August 2016, the execution of 36 convicts of the crime of Spyker in prison in Nasiriyah in the presence of officials and media and a number of relatives of the victims.
    The execution of the death sentences came several days after the recommendations of the Security and Defense Committee of Parliament demanding the President of the Republic to ratify the execution of the death sentences against terrorists in the prison of Nasiriyah, in response to the terrorist attacks in the province of Dhi Qar. Hundreds of people in the district of Shawq al-Shuyukh, south of Dhi Qar, demonstrated last Friday to demand the execution of terrorists in al-Hawat prison in Nasiriyah. They accused the security forces of "negligence and numbness" of intelligence, which resulted in a security breach that caused dozens of casualties in the western road attack. Governorate.
    The province of Dhi Qar, on the 14th of September, two attacks adopted and called for implementation, the most violent in the history of the province since 2003, as gunmen wearing military uniforms attacked a tourist restaurant on the western road to the west of the province, while the other attack targeted a checkpoint between Dhi Qar And Muthanna, which killed 177 martyrs and wounded, including a number of Iranian visitors.
