Iraqi Public Prosecution: We are studying an Iranian proposal to form a committee to prosecute the murderers of Engineer and Soleimani

The Iraqi Deputy Prosecutor General Dari Jaber Farhood announced on Sunday that the Iraqi Public Prosecution Service is studying a proposal from the Iranian Ministry of Justice to form a joint committee to prosecute the killers of the martyrs Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis and Qasim Soleimani.
Iranian media reported, "Iraqi Deputy Prosecutor Dari Jaber Farhood and Director of the Department of Human Rights and International Cooperation in the Iraqi Ministry of Justice, Kamel Amin Hashem, met today, with the Iranian Assistant Minister of Justice for International Affairs and Human Rights Mahmoud Abbasi, to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation."

The Iranian Assistant Minister of Justice pointed out that "this crime is a serious act committed by the American administration in a situation in which the martyr Soleimani was an official guest on [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] as an independent and sovereign state," stressing that "the assassination of the prominent martyrs will be judicially followed by [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] Iraq in international forums.
For his part, Farhoud emphasized that "the Iraqi judiciary has continued, and from the very beginning, the subject of the investigation regarding the assassination of the martyr Soleimani and his companions," noting that "the Iranian assistant justice minister's proposal to form a joint committee is subject to discussion and follow-up."
To that, Director General of Human Rights and International Cooperation at the Iraqi Ministry of Justice, Kamel Amin, stated that "the actions of the American administration regarding the assassination of Major Soleimani and Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis in the European courts and the Security Council can be followed, and this act is criminal and can be prosecuted according to American domestic law."
