    [rtl]US President Donald Trump warned that "only one thing will work out" in dealing with North Korea, noting that the talks with Pyongyang did not produce any results.[/rtl]
    [rtl]Trump did not say what it was, but last month he threatened that Washington might destroy North Korea if it had to do so to protect itself and its allies.[/rtl]
    [rtl]"The presidents and administrations have spoken to North Korea for 25 years, and agreements have been reached," the president said on his Twitter account.[/rtl]
    [rtl]But these agreements were "violated before their ink dried," Trump said.[/rtl]
    [rtl]The United States and North Korea have exchanged threats and firefights in recent weeks.[/rtl]
    [rtl]US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said last week that Washington has an open communications line with Pyongyang.[/rtl]
    [rtl]But Trump said through his Twitter account, "Save your effort Rex, we'll do what needs to be done."[/rtl]
    [rtl]The UN Security Council announced the imposition of the ninth package of sanctions on North Korea last month after Pyongyang conducted its strongest nuclear tests on the third of last September.[/rtl]
