Iran's interests office in Washington, DC, was attacked on Saturday morning, the official IRNA news agency reported.
The head of Iran's interests office in the United States, Mahdi Emat, said the office was attacked on Saturday morning with guns, smashing windows.
He added that some of the explosives were found inside the office and slogans were written on the walls of the building. He said that the slogans refer to the traces of a new opposition group without revealing the contents of the written slogans.
Two windows were broken and the security services, which are still conducting investigations, were contacted and two bullets were found.
Sources inside the mission also said they believed the attack was linked to the atmosphere created by Donald Trump's speech yesterday about the non-ratification of the nuclear deal and the strong criticism he gave Iran.
The mission did not charge anyone for the results of the investigation, but believes the attack is linked to groups that have already attacked some Iranian facilities abroad. C
