Iraqi Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari said in Rome that his country needs a "Marshall Plan" for its reconstruction, stressing that "the world owes us this."
"I ask the international community to help us, as well as to help us in a provocative fight," he told the Mediterranean Dialogue Forum.
He added that Iraq fought in the framework of "global war, the world, then today to help us," in reference to the multinationals of foreign fighters who fought in the ranks of the extremist organization.
He pointed out that "a supporter is no longer a strategic threat to the Iraqi regime," calling on the international community to help Iraq in the reconstruction of destroyed cities such as Mosul.
"It turned out that this is very useful to stop the tension in the region," he said, recalling that "the focus focuses on the areas of tension."
