Turkish Foreign Minister Gawishoglu revealed that his country received a request for mediation between Baghdad and Erbil.

In a press statement, Oglu said Wednesday that Turkey had received a request for mediation between Baghdad and Erbil to resolve the crisis between the two sides and strengthen relations.

He pointed out that "we will visit the Iraqi capital Baghdad on (21 - January - 2018) to discuss this issue as well as issues of bilateral  Iraq and Turkey."

It is noteworthy that the Turkish ambassador to Baghdad Fatih Yildiz said last Monday during a press interview with "Trend Press," The referendum of secession held by Kurdistan last September was a link and convergence of views between Baghdad and Ankara and the two sides could be closer to the result of their rejection of the referendum separation Kurdistan of Iraq ".
