    Economy News Baghdad:
    The General Company for Land Transport, under the Ministry of Transport, announced on Thursday its commitment to open bids for companies to acquire the "automated" agencies in the Jordanian side in order to involve the private sector in this area and maximize its financial resources .
    The director of the company, Emad Abdul Razzaq al-Asadi said in a statement quoted by the newspaper "Sabah" official and briefed by "economy News", "a number of private sector companies made bids to obtain the agencies (automated) on the Jordanian side, having been officially announced in newspapers "The company has been working for a long time to maximize its financial revenues and diversify its sources by introducing the private sector in the development of the transport sector in the country ."
    He added that "the committee entrusted with opening tenders for companies to obtain grants for the (automated) agencies in the Jordanian side, held a meeting in this regard to choose the best ones, and the adoption of specialized companies in this area of ​​the project represents the economic importance of the country, Trade exchange between the two countries, "noting that" the committee was headed by the assistant director of the company Abbas Hamid Amer and a number of department managers and stakeholders . "
    Al-Asadi said that "the company is working to open up and benefit from the experiences inside and outside the country, especially with regard to the (automated), because the granting of the agency (automated) outside of Iraq is a basic activity and exclusive land transport in order to expand and raise efficiency and performance and reduce the financial burdens incurred If the company has an activity outside of Iraq, it is dependent on the system of the agent in the organization (the manfest) outside the country, including the Jordanian side .
    He added that "the company recently opened its office in the port of Rabia in Nineveh province on the Syrian-Iraqi border after obtaining security approvals," explaining that "the port will work at the present time to meet humanitarian cases and provide facilities on them ."
    Al-Asadi added that the system "approved" in Iraq since the seventies of the last century, which is a card to allow the entry of trucks loaded with goods to the private and public sectors in exchange for financial return, indicating that the physical exchange varies depending on the type of border port or if trucks come through ports .
    The director of the General Company for Land Transport said that "some ports are based on the Manual Manifest. The company is working to turn it into an automatic cutting system, especially through border crossings with Jordan, which will be supplied to trucks inside Jordanian territory ."
