    Today, Tuesday, (August 1, 2023), employees of the Land Transport Company confirmed that the decision to cancel the “Exploit” will turn two companies into a loss-making company, and the state treasury will bear the salaries of its employees. 
    The Director General of the General Company for Land Transport, Mortada Al-Shahmani, told “Baghdad Today” that “land transport employees submitted a grievance appeal in accordance with the law to the Minister of Transport regarding the issue of the Manafest that has been in force in accordance with the law since 1979,” noting that “the committee formed by the Ministry discussed the issue of the Manafest and decided Therefore, we presented our legal reasons, and we hope that the 1,560 employees will be redressed by the Prime Minister and Minister of Transport.”
    He added, "The land transport company is considered profitable, giving the state 60% and giving 40% between an operational budget, salaries, incentives and social care," pointing out that "it is the only company that represents the Iraqi state and the Ministry of Transport in the Kurdistan region, bringing more than one billion dinars per month from the region to the government.” Federal.”
    And he continued, "This decision will turn the General Land Transport Company into a losing company that will receive its money through an advance from the Ministry of Finance," noting that "the company contributes to supplying the general budget from its profitable funds."
    Al-Shahmani explained that "the increase in fuel prices to 750 dinars per liter and one led to the reluctance of many ministries to contract with the company."
    For her part, one of the land transport employees told “Baghdad Today” that “we appeal to Prime Minister Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani that more than 1,500 employees and their families live on the salaries of the company, and if it is tampered with , all of their livelihoods will be cut off.”
     She added, "What is happening is a crime equivalent to Speicher's crime, and we appeal to the Prime Minister to look at us with the eyes of paternity in order to do justice to us."
    A number of employees of the General Land Transport Company joined a demonstration in central Baghdad, demanding fairness and a reversal of the decision to cancel the manifest.
