US Vice President Mike Pines said in a press statement that he and President Donald Trump considered restoring the rights and property of the Christian and Yezidi communities in Iraq, which were almost completely destroyed as a result of their campaign of genocide against them, a top priority.
"Trump has instructed the government to stop using slow, inefficient and wasteful programs of the United Nations, and instead to distribute aid through USAID to provide quick and direct assistance," Pines said.
The US vice president said he would not tolerate bureaucratic delays in delivering US aid, but he did not say how much US aid would be distributed to Iraqi Christians.
