Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced that his country's forces bombed important meeting places of the PKK in the framework of its recent operations in the Kandil mountains in northern Iraq.
"During the recent operations in the Qandil mountains, very important meeting places were bombed," Erdogan said during a program on a local television channel.
"The bombing is certain, but its results are not yet clear," he said.
Asked if there were any prominent names among the gunmen gathered in Kandil, Erdogan said: "There is a high probability of their presence."
The Turkish president has repeatedly vowed earlier that his country's forces would continue military operations against terrorists to ensure security in both Syria and Iraq.
On March 10, Turkey launched a military operation in northern Iraq aimed at destroying the PKK camps and introducing units of its ground forces into the country, operating in conjunction with air strikes by Turkish warplanes for years.
