    informed source said Saturday that the Iranian side closed two border crossings in Iraq, after the attack on the military parade in Ahvaz. 

    The source said in an interview with Alsumaria News, "The Iranian side closed the Shalamjah and Shib border border with Iraq temporarily." 

    "The movement of trade and passengers has stopped," said the source, who asked not to be named. "This came after strict security measures were taken by the Iranian side after the attack on the military parade in Ahvaz."




    An armed attack on a military parade in the Iranian city of Ahvaz killed 10 people and wounded 21 others, while Iranian security forces were hunting down the perpetrators.

    BAGHDAD / The border crossings authority announced on Saturday the return of the border port with Iran to work full capacity after being temporarily closed by the Iranian side.
    "The Iranian authorities reopened their corridors to the border port of Iraq with Iraq after it was temporarily closed due to the terrorist attack that targeted a military parade in Ahvaz," a source in the agency told Iraq News.
    The border crossings authority announced on Saturday that the Iranian side closed the port of Shib and Shalamjah border with Iraq after the armed attack, which targeted a military parade in Ahvaz.
    The Iranian authorities announced the high number of victims of the attack, which targeted a military parade in the Ahwaz area Saturday morning, to 11 dead and 30 wounded.
    The deputy governor of Ahwaz, Ali Husseinzadeh, said the number of victims rose to 11 dead and 30 wounded, after 8 dead and 20 injured in the previous preliminary outcome.
    He explained, "Hussein Zadeh," in a statement to state television Iran, the authorities were able to arrest the four perpetrators of the attack.
    He added that two of the perpetrators were arrested alive, the other two dead.
    Earlier in the day, Revolutionary Guards spokesman Ramadan Sharif accused the Al-Ahwaz organization of carrying out the attack during a military parade marking the anniversary of the Iran-Iraq War (1980-1988).
    Local media reported that the attackers were wearing military uniforms and that they opened fire on Iranian forces during the military parade, noting that the attack lasted about 10 minutes.
