    , said parliament speaker Mohammed al - Halbusi , said that Iraq overcome a difficult stage thanks to Saudi Arabia to support him, pointing to Saudi Arabia contributed to the expulsion of "Daesh" from many regions and cities. 

    "Iraq in the next phase of construction and reconstruction requires the cooperation of brothers and friends, headed by Saudi Arabia," he said, adding that "this will positively affect the two brotherly peoples."

    "The meeting with Shura Council chairman Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim al-Sheikh focused on the importance of strengthening bilateral relations," Al-Halbusi said, adding that "Iraq has reached a difficult stage thanks to the support of the Kingdom, which contributed to the expulsion of the terrorist organization from many regions and cities there." And the expansion of trade exchange between the two countries through the opening of border crossings starting from Arar port and development, and coordination of common positions regarding the status of the region in general and how to work together, in addition to activating the role of parliamentary friendship committees in the two councils and exchange of experiences between them. 

    The speaker of the parliament, Mohamed Halboussi, concluded his visit to Saudi Arabia yesterday and returned to Baghdad, where he met with a number of officials, including King Salman bin Abdul Aziz, and discussed with them the developments of relations between the two countries and trade and economic exchanges.
