    The parliamentary legal committee on Tuesday blamed the central government for the weakness of the nationality law that it sent to parliament, indicating that the law will not be passed in its current form and will be handled by both the government itself and the parliament.
    "The citizenship law passed by the government is weak and leads to negative results in the granting of Iraqi citizenship," said Salim Hamza, a member of the committee.
    Hamza added that "the House of Representatives read the first reading of the law, but will not pass it in its current form, as there will be amendments to it, granting Iraqi nationality prestige and moral character."
    He explained that "the amendments will be made by the parliament or the government itself after the return of the law from parliament to the government to reformulate in a manner appropriate to Iraqi citizenship, and therefore Parliament will say his speech after the government's amendments to the law, as it will not pass as currently." Ending / 25 n
