    (Reuters) - Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi on Friday decided to hand over gifts received from foreign officials to the Ministry of Culture and consider them as property of the Iraqi state to act as required by the interest.
    A statement issued by the Information Office of Abdul Mahdi said that the latter "informed the Minister of Culture Abdul Amir Al-Hamadani officially in a meeting of the Council of Ministers held on May 7, 2019."
    "The minister proposed opening a pavilion at the Iraqi National Museum to deposit such gifts," the statement said.
     "The precious gifts given by senior foreign officials carry some symbolic, technical and other value," the statement said.
    "The pictures represent a sample of these gifts, which exceed 100 pieces, which will be delivered in turn to the Ministry of Culture and duly official records," the statement said.

    Minister of [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] Tourism and Antiquities, Abdulamir al-Hamdani, ordered the allocation of one of the halls of the Iraqi National Museum to deposit gifts sent by Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi. 

    The Ministry of [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] said in a press statement: "Al-Hamdani directed to take all measures to create one of the halls of the National Museum and equip it to accommodate the gifts received from the Prime Minister and display them in a suitable manner, as it has become a national wealth symbolic and diplomatic significance in the framework of mutual relations between governments and countries." 

    She added: "The hall will open its doors to the Iraqi people, all if equipped with specialized personnel."
