BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Iranian government spokesman Ali Rubaie said on Monday that views had become closer to talks on the nuclear deal with France.
He pointed out that Iran is discussing with France the technical measures to implement Europe's commitments, pointing out that the Iranian delegation's negotiations in Paris focus on the issue of selling Iranian oil and obtaining revenues.
Rubaie added that Tehran's implementation of the third step on the path to reduce commitments to the nuclear agreement, subject to satisfaction with the implementation of Europe's obligations in the agreement.
Rubaie revealed that the views between the two parties closer, he stressed that Tehran will return to the full implementation of the nuclear agreement if Europe fulfills its obligations.
An Iranian delegation headed by political assistant to Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi will visit Paris today to discuss a package of French proposals on the nuclear deal and sanctions imposed on Tehran.
Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Abbas Moussavi said on Monday that Iran has prepared itself to proceed with the third step in time, coinciding with the opportunity it has given to diplomacy and dialogue to implement the commitments by the parties to the nuclear deal.
He stressed that the third step in the framework of reducing Iran's commitments to the nuclear agreement, ready for implementation and will be stronger than the first and second steps.
Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said on Sunday from Moscow that his country would not leave the negotiating table and was ready to resume its commitments to the nuclear deal if the Europeans carried out their commitments.
