    [size=45]Iraqi Defense Minister Najah al-Shammari on Thursday ordered the transfer of a number of officers and commanders to military courts on corruption charges.
    [size=45]This comes the day after the victory coalition, led by former Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, the existence of a parliamentary movement aimed at questioning Iraqi Defense Minister Najah al-Shammari, in the next few days.[/size]
    [size=45]The coalition leader, MP Falah al-Khafaji, in press statements that "there is a parliamentary movement aimed at questioning Iraqi Defense Minister Najah al-Shammari, with the start of the new legislative term for the parliament, in the next few days."[/size]
    [size=45]Al-Khafaji said that "the reason for questioning the Minister of Defense, he did some liquidation of some leaders and officers, away from the balance, and the transfer of some leaders because of their succession with some politicians and others."[/size]
    [size=45]He explained that “these procedures are incorrect, they are a destruction of the work of the military establishment, and therefore will be questioned to find out the reason for his exclusion of some officers, and what is the goal, and the decision to withdraw confidence and lack thereof, among members of the House of Representatives, they will vote to convince the answers of the minister or not.” .[/size]
    [size=45]On the other hand, a member of the Security and Defense Committee in the Iraqi parliament, Abbas Sarrout, said that “his committee will submit an inquiry to the Minister of Defense, to find out who these officers and commanders, and what positions they hold, and on what charges were brought to justice?”.[/size]
    [size=45]Sarrout said: "We do not know any details about this case, we heard the decision of referral through the media only, has not received any clarifications from the Iraqi Ministry of Defense, so far.[/size]
