Minister appeals to the people of Basra: I accept your hands Keep the oil installations and ports

The Minister of Reconstruction, Housing and Municipalities Bankin Rikani on Monday appealed to the people of the southernmost province of Basra to maintain oil facilities and ports during the protests.
"The protests are a legitimate right to deprivation, poor performance, and a lot of failure and corruption rampant in state institutions and departments over the past years," Rikani said in an audio message to Basra residents.
"I accept your hands and your heads. Keep your economic, service, oil and ports facilities," he said.
"This reputation, if at risk, will take decades to recount the confidence of international companies in Basra and investment in Basra," Rikani said.
"Please prevent any prejudice to oil companies, ports and public services," he said.
