    On Friday, MP from the Alliance of Riyad al-Masoudi said that the President of the Republic, Barham Salih, would not present a candidate for prime minister unless the political blocs participated and knew the acceptability of this candidate by the political blocs and the Iraqi street.
    Al-Masoudi said in a statement to "The Information", that "the political blocs, and if they fail to present a candidate to the President of the Republic, Saleh will face a great challenge and pressure to present a candidate and assign him to form a government."
    He added that "the President of the Republic did not and will not present any candidate and names to the House of Representatives without the political blocs participating in offering these names and in clarifying their opinion and acceptability and the extent of the Iraqi street accepting the personality that will take over the prime minister, as the President of the Republic will not assign a candidate to the Prime Minister unless He knows how acceptable this person is. ”
    And that "the political blocs, in the event that you do not agree with the President of the Republic on a specific candidate, the candidate that will be presented by Saleh will not receive the approval of the blocs within Parliament."
    He explained that "Saleh's decision regarding the deadline and choice of the candidate gives strength to the position of the President of the Republic, as he presses the political blocs in addition to stimulating the blocs to choose a suitable figure for this position." 25 n ended
