    Economy News - Baghdad
[rtl]Today, Tuesday, the Ministry of Agriculture announced a move to appoint veterinarians, while indicating that the Council of Ministers discussed this issue in one of its sessions.[/rtl]
[rtl]The ministry’s spokesman, Muhammad al-Khazali, said: “The Ministry of Agriculture called for the implementation of the medical progression law, and made several recommendations to appoint more than 4,800 veterinarians to fill the many vacancies that hospitals and veterinary clinics suffer from,” stressing that “there is an urgent need to appoint veterinarians.”[/rtl]
[rtl]He explained, "The issue of appointing veterinarians is not only related to the Ministry of Agriculture, but rather it is related to financial allocations. This issue was raised in one of the Council of Ministers sessions and the matter was taken into consideration, but we were surprised that this was not included in the financial allocations for the 2023 budget."[/rtl]
[rtl]He pointed out that "the Ministry continues to demand the implementation of the medical progression law and the inclusion of veterinarians in appointments due to our urgent need for them."[/rtl]
