Member of Parliament Bassem Khashan confirmed that Parliament Speaker Muhammad Al-Halbousi changed his position towards the government of Prime Minister-designate [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/3819/%D9%85%D8%AD%D9%85%D8%AF %D8%AA%D9%88%D9%81%D9%8A%D9%82 %D8%B9%D9%84%D8%A7%D9%88%D9%8A]Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi[/url] after he obtained a number of ministerial portfolios in the new government, while ruling out the success of passing Allawi’s government through a session today Sunday.
Khashan said in a press statement: "The replacement of a number of candidates with Allawi's booth proved the latter's submission to the pressure of the political blocs," noting: "Al-Halbousi was largely rejecting Allawi's government, but his change of position came after he obtained a number of ministerial portfolios that (bleach Gold) Allawi’s government.
He added: "The Allawi government is not independent as it is rumored about, but political quotas have interfered, and there are authorities that imposed a number of names on the Prime Minister-designate, including Speaker of Parliament Muhammad al-Halbousi," noting: "The passing of the Allawi government today is unlikely."
