Baghdad governorate announced on Monday that it is coordinating with the relevant authorities to establish waste sorting and recycling plants within the districts and districts of the capital.
The Governor of Baghdad, Muhammad Jaber Al-Atta, said in a statement seen by Al-Iqtisad News, that "the province, and within its plans aimed at preserving the environment of the capital, held a meeting with the Baghdad Municipalities Directorate in order to set up mechanisms for establishing factories specialized in sorting and recycling waste."
Al-Atta revealed, "The Directorate intends to approach the Ministry of Finance and the State Real Estate Department therein, for the purpose of laying hands on lands within the districts of the capital and its environs to establish these laboratories, in addition to establishing regular sites for sanitary landfills in them."
