, Adviser to the Prime Minister for Elections Affairs, Hussein Al-Hindawi, announced, on Monday, that the Commission’s Council agreed to send 83 ballot papers to the Korean company that manufactures electronic devices with the aim of examining them and ensuring their handling of the devices, while revealing the number of parties participating in the upcoming elections.
In an interview with the official newspaper, Al-Hindawi said, "Only 107 parties will participate in the upcoming elections out of more than 300 registered and registered."
And he stated that "about 16 million voters have updated their electoral record, while 25 million people are entitled to vote in the upcoming elections."
The advisor to the Prime Minister for Electoral Affairs added, "The Electoral Commission has stepped up the pace of work at the present time in preparation for the completion of all logistical procedures related to the electoral file," adding that "there is high and continuous cooperation and coordination between the commission and experts from the United Nations (UNAMI) as well as international experts on the issue. The mechanisms of counting and sorting and the use of modern devices in this field. "
