political analyst Muhammad Karim al-Saadi said that the government cut off the livelihood of some segments by blocking the ration card items, pointing out that the government took advantage of the parliament’s slumber and the lack of the parliament’s voice and their control over the government.
Al-Saadi said to "the information", "Parliament is slumbering and silent about the government's decisions, as no inhabitant has moved on the whole of the fundamental issues that affect the citizen's life."
He added that "the government, in addition to imposing an economic blockade on the people, by raising the dollar exchange rate, went to withhold the ration card items from some segments."
And that "there are segments, despite their high salaries, but they suffer from a housing crisis and pay rents, as the government’s decision was not correct towards some of the segments covered by withholding the ration items." 25 n
