The Governor of the Central Bank, Mustafa Ghaleb, discussed with the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq, Jeanine Hennes Plasschaert, the financial and economic conditions in Iraq.
A press release issued by the Central Bank, received by "Al-Ektissad News", said, "Today, Tuesday, the Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, Mustafa Ghaleb, received the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq, Jeanine Hennes Plasschaert, and discussed during the meeting the financial and economic conditions that Iraq is going through and the measures that lead to it. The management of this bank is part of the reform plan for the Iraqi banking sector . "
For her part, the United Nations representative, Mrs. Blashart, affirmed support for the independence of the Central Bank of Iraq, like other international central banks, and its importance during the current and future period .
