On Sunday, the Investigation Department of the Federal Integrity Commission revealed the details of the ruling issued against a general manager in the Ministry of Electricity, indicating his conviction for the crime of bribery.
The authority said in a statement received by "Al-Iqtisad News", "The department revealed that the convict, who was previously the Director-General of the Economic Department in the Ministry of Electricity, took an amount of (1,350,000,000) billion dinars, to pass a contract that was supposed to be concluded. between the Ministry of Electricity and the Ministry of Industry and Minerals to supply equipment to the first (Ministry of Electricity).
And she pointed out that "the details of the ruling issued by the Central Anti-Corruption Criminal Court in the case that it investigated, in cooperation with the Diwaniyah Order Committee (29), provides for the imprisonment of the convict for a period of four years and a fine, based on the provisions of the resolution (160 of 1983).
The authority had summarized its report on the Parliamentary Order Committee No. (62) related to the investigation into the contracts of the Ministry of Electricity, noting that the criminal cases that were opened included (2654) defendants, including (7) ministers, (5) deputy ministers, and (127) director generals. and (2422) employees.
