    Iraq chaired the 18th Arab Conference of Heads of Investigation and Forensic Evidence Services. The Secretary-General of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers, Muhammad Koman, said at the opening of the conference: “The meeting is the first after the spread of the Corona virus pandemic, which has left serious repercussions and placed heavy responsibilities on the security services, and during the virtual meeting a number of topics were discussed, including the reality of the rules Ballistic data (weapon fingerprints), linking biometric fingerprint databases between Arab countries, as well as setting Arab guidelines on special investigative techniques, and ways to enhance cooperation between public prosecutions, detective agencies and forensic evidence.
    For his part, the head of the conference, Iyad Abdel Hamza Al-Issawi, explained in his speech that “the conference will continue the process of Arab cooperation to serve common issues, and we are convinced of the importance of continuing to develop criminal policies, and unify procedures to combat terrorist and international crimes across borders.”
