    The Council of Ministers agreed to add a trillion dinars to the capital of the Iraqi Housing Fund to support the “Dari” project for distributing residential plots among citizens. A statement by the Prime Minister's Media Office stated that Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi chaired yesterday, Tuesday, the 38th regular session of the Council of Ministers, during which the developments of events in the country were discussed, in addition to the topics on the agenda, and the issuance of decisions and recommendations regarding them.

    During the session, the epidemiological report of the Corona pandemic was reviewed, and the developments in the work of the Committee to Strengthen Government Actions in the Fields of Prevention, and Health Awareness Control; To limit the spread of the virus, and the efforts of the Ministry of Health to confront the pandemic, and to provide vaccines through vaccination outlets.
    After discussing the topics on the agenda, the Council of Ministers issued the following decisions: The Ministry of Finance disbursed (3) billion dinars to the Ministry of Health from emergency reserve allocations for the fiscal year/2021, as treatment costs; For the treatment of a number of demonstrators wounded in the German Hospital (Vivants), with the exception of the controls and instructions in force, the recruitment program, and medical evacuation.
    The Council agreed to increase the capital of the Iraqi Housing Fund by 1 trillion dinars, so that the total capital would be 2 trillion dinars, to be paid by the Ministry of Finance, according to what was stated in the decision of the Board of Trustees of the Housing Fund, based on the provisions of Article 1/Second, of the Housing Fund Law Al-Iraqi (32 for the year 2011).
    The Council of Ministers approved the recommendation of the Ministerial Council for Energy (137 for the year 2021), and approved the (National Oil Company) to enter as a financing partner with (Total) in its giant project in Basra, and to support the (National Oil Company) to carry out commercial activity; To maximize revenues and financial returns to the general budget, the Council approved a set of decisions aimed at maximizing oil and gas production capabilities by the (National Oil Company) in the southern fields. It was agreed to exclude the Taza water project in Kirkuk governorate from the procedures set out in the Cabinet Resolution (259 of 2021), regarding direct invitations to the companies of the Ministry of Construction, Housing, Municipalities and Public Works; For the reasons proven in the letter of the Ministry of Construction, Housing, Municipalities and Public Works No. ([You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]) dated September 29, 2021.
