    Ministry of Planning revealed the latest trends of young people and their vision of the security situation in 2021, while 20% of them attributed the lack of security stability to politicians' incompatibility, while the same percentage believes that they cannot express their opinions freely.

    The analytical report of the survey, which was carried out by the Ministry of Planning in cooperation with the United Nations Population Fund, the United Nations Children’s Fund and the Ministries of Youth, Sports, Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, stated that “72% of the youth attributed the security instability in the country to terrorist groups as the primary cause, 34% to criminal gangs and 27% to corruption Financial, administrative and political, 18% due to weak state institutions, 17% to fanaticism, 13% to religious extremism and the spread of armed groups, 12% to weak national sentiment, 11% to external influence, and 5% to the increase in clan power.

    He added that “young men and women between the ages of 18-30 years, 58% of them believe that their role in enhancing the security of the country comes primarily through cooperation with the security services, 48% by joining the security services and the army, 34% by reporting outlaw groups, and 15% Spreading a culture of unity and peaceful coexistence.

    The survey, which was carried out in all governorates after interviewing 11,863 families, indicated that “46% of young men and women feel that they can express their opinions absolutely freely, and 31% can do so relatively, while 20% of them believe that they cannot express their opinions freely, and the convergence of The opinions of young people, whether in rural or urban, gender or age groups with the general average, and the feeling of being able to freely express their opinions increases with the high level of education. For the illiterate and those who read only, respectively, to rise to 48 or 58 percent for those who hold a bachelor's degree and a higher degree, respectively.

    And 73% of young men and women expressed their distrust of political and religious parties, compared to 9% of them trust them, while 13% of them were neutral and 5% did not know, and the percentage of mistrust in urban areas increases by 75% more than in the countryside 70%, and young people seem more suspicious of parties This is the case with young women, where 77% of them indicated that they do not trust the parties, compared to 8% of them support them. As for the young women, the distrust of the parties reached 69% compared to 9% who supported them, and the distrust increased in the 24-26 age group to 74% .
